Cellist Lucie Zhuxi Wang has been praised by mainstream media internationally, such as China National Radio News, People’s Daily, NBC NEWS Texas, FOX MEWS Ohio, Sinovision New York Lounge. She has appeared as a soloist and orchestral cellist with many prominent symphony orchestras in New York, Paris, Aspen, Quebec, and Beijing. She was recently announced as the First-Prize cellist in the adult category of 2020’s Muse International Music Competition, sponsored by Greece’s Ministry of Culture. She also won the First Prize in the Lillian Fuchs Chamber Music Competition and was the prize winner of China National Cello Competition.
In recital and chamber music, Lucie has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York, Salle des colonnes and Chapelle de la Trinité Hall in Paris, Salle Françoys-Bernier Hall in Canada, National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, and the Century Theater in Beijing. Festival appearances include the Aspen International Music Festival, Fountainebleau International Music Festival, Domaine Forget International Music Festival, and the Beijing International Music Festival and Academy (BIMFA). She was the only cellist invited to perform at a cultural symposium at Carnegie Hall during Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong’s 2015 visit to New York.
Born in China to a family of musicians, Lucie began learning cello and piano from her mother at the age of four. As prodigy, she entered prestigious Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. She completed her bachelor’s and master’s degree at the Manhattan School of Music and a doctoral of music arts degree in cello (D.M.A) at University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Lucie is a pupil of cellists Philippe Muller and her teachers also include Mula Na. Committed to education and sharing her passion for music through technology and social media, she continues to find new ways of reaching young cellists and music lovers around the world.
Lucie Zhuxi served on the jury of the 15th China Hubei Prodigy Performance Arts Competition. Her article, entitled “The Development of Performance Techniques and Musical Expression in the Cello Sonata in D Minor, op. 40 by Dmitri Shostakovich” is scheduled for public distribution and publication through the American Music Teachers National Association e-Journal. In the spring of 2020, Lucie was invited as visiting artist at Sam Houston State University Music School, where she gave the cello master class and solo recital.
During the 2020 pandemic, Lucie host a cloud concert named Let's Press "PLAY" With the Power of Love, which shared by FOX NEWS Texas and NBC NEWS Ohio.

2019年在美国辛辛那提成功举办了有关于《如何解决在大提琴奏鸣曲练习当中碰到的技术困难》专题英文讲座。应美国音乐教师协会杂志的邀请，即将刊登《论肖斯塔科维奇第40号大提琴奏鸣曲》学术文章。在2020新冠疫情期间，王祝希召集了身在不同国家的亚裔古典音乐家们，举办了云演奏音乐会《让我们一起用爱按下PLAY键》，影片受到海内外社会主流媒体的报道。 她使用的是法国1864年伊波利特.希而维斯特（Hippolyte Silvestre）大提琴。
